Editorial Policy

Our credibility is the only asset this site really has. These are the rules we work by.

Testing standards

  • We install and use every app before ranking it. "Hands-on" means we produced and exported at least one real model in it — not a screenshot tour.
  • Devices are evaluated against the apps that actually run on them: RAM limits under heavy sculpts, Pencil latency, thermal throttling on long sessions, export reliability.
  • Prices and specs are checked against official sources (App Store, manufacturer pages) at the time of writing. Prices change — when they do, we update the article and bump its "updated" date.

Scoring and rankings

We don't publish numeric scores. Instead we tell you who a product is for and who should skip it. Ranking position is decided by usefulness for the article's stated audience — e.g. "best iPad for 3D modeling" weighs RAM, Pencil support and value, not camera quality.

Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound links (App Store, retail) may generate a referral commission. Commission never influences inclusion, order or wording — a free app frequently beats a paid one here, and subscription apps regularly lose to one-time purchases on value.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and note material corrections in the article. Email editorial@top3dmodeler.com.

What we don't do

  • No sponsored articles or paid placements — ever.
  • No rankings sold to developers.
  • No AI-generated filler: articles are written by editors and checked against primary sources.
